Lonnys first opened its doors on March 11, 1971 in Oceanside, NY and quickly became the most talked about women's contemporary boutique on Long Island. Mothers and daughters alike, who frequented the stores, often got a chance to chat with Ina and Walter Goldstein, the founders of the business. Lonnys became not only a trendy place to shop, but a place where customers could stay and feel at home. Ina's warmth and compassion earned her the title of friend and confidant to all who knew her in the store. Lonnys longevity can be credited not only to its loyal customers, but to the women who work in the stores and carry on Ina's tradition.
